Michael Canady, CPA, Partner

Michael A. Canady, CPA, Partner Mike received the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Georgia in June, 1978. He began his accounting career in August, 1978 with the Savannah CPA firm Spillane, Rhoads, Lebey & Sieg (SRLS). While at SRLS, Mike performed audit and tax services. In 1985, Mike joined the CPA firm of Davis, McCorkle & Company, and became a partner in 1988. The firm name was later changed to Canady, Richbourg & Woodward, LLP, and Mike served as the managing partner until December 31, 2018, when the firmed merged with Caines, Hodges and Company, P.C.

Mike’s experience includes planning and supervision of various audit and accounting engagements, with heavy emphasis on not-for-profit organizations. Mike is also involved with the firm’s tax practice, including supervision and preparation of returns for individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations.

Mike is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of the Savannah Lions Club and serves as finance committee chairman of the Habersham Street YMCA board of directors.

Carlton H. Hodges, CPA, Partner

Carlton received the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Armstrong State College in August, 1976 and the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Armstrong State College in June 1980. He began his public accounting career in July, 1980 when he was employed by SRLS. While at SRLS, Carlton performed all the traditional professional services of a CPA firm. In October, 1987, he was promoted to Tax Manager at the merger with Price Waterhouse.

Carlton’s primary emphasis is the firm’s tax compliance practice, including supervision over the preparation of business, individual, fiduciary and not for profit tax returns. Carlton’s responsibilities also include planning and supervision of audit and accounting engagements in the areas of construction contractors, service industry, not-for-profit, and government assistance recipients. Carlton is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Carlton serves on the board of directors and leadership council of the Georgia Society of CPAs. He also currently serves as chairman of the GSCPA Insurance Trust. He is a Vice Chairman of the board of directors of the Armstrong Foundation of Georgia Southern University. He also serves as chair of the finance committee. He is a former member and treasurer of the Savannah/Chatham County Metropolitan Planning Commission. He has previously served as a city councilman for the City of Pooler, GA.

Sarah D. Richbourg, CPA, Partner

Sarah received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Washburn University in 1992. She began her public accounting career in 1992 when she was employed by the firm of Davis, Mccorkle & Canady.

Sarah became a partner in the firm of Canady, Richbourg & Woodward, LLP in 2006. She works with a variety of clients including partnerships, S-corporations, and high net worth individuals. She has been working with QuickBooks for the last fifteen years and has helped many clients integrate the software into their financial needs.

Sarah also has extensive experience in auditing and accounting for not-for-profit organizations. She is a member of the Georgia Societiy of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Matthew E. Caines, CPA, Partner

Matthew received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting In May, 2013. Additionally, Matthew received the degree of Bachelor of Arts from Bethany Divinity College in May, 2008. He began his public accounting career in September, 2008, when he joined Caines, Hodges and Company, P.C.

Since joining the firm, Matthew performs all the traditional professional services of a CPA firm, planning, supervision and staffing of various engagements in the areas of not-for-profit, government assistance recipients, and city and county governments. Additionally, Matthew is extensively involved in the firm’s accounting practice in the preparation of payroll tax returns as well as the preparation of individual and business income tax returns. Matthew is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Donald T. Caines, CPA, Partner

Donald received the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Armstrong State College in June 1977. He began his public accounting career in May 1978 when he was employed by the Savannah CPA firm Spillane, Rhoads, Lebey & Sieg (SRLS).

While at SRLS, Donald performed all the traditional professional services of a CPA firm and in August 1984 was promoted to Audit Manager. In October 1987, SRLS merged with the international CPA firm Price Waterhouse. In July 1988, he was promoted to Senior Audit Manager. In November 1988, Donald joined with co-worker Carlton Hodges to establish Caines & Hodges, CPA’s.

Donald’s experience includes planning and supervision of various audit and accounting engagements in the areas of construction contractors, vehicle dealerships, service industry, not-for-profit, government assistance recipients, and city and county governments. Donald also is involved with the firm’s tax compliance practice as well as Quickbooks and Sage 50 accounting consulting. Donald is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Amanda S. Futrell, Partner

Amanda received the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration from South University, Savannah, Georgia, in June, 2004, and her Masters of Accounting from Keller Business School of Management of DeVry University in August, 2011. She began her public accounting career in 2003.

Amanda joined Caines Hodges in 2005. Since joining the firm, Amanda has performed all the traditional professional services of a CPA firm, including planning, supervision and staffing of various engagements in the areas of not-for-profits and government assistance recipients.

Additionally, Amanda is extensively involved in the firm’s accounting practice in the preparation of payroll tax returns as well as the preparation of individual and business income tax returns Amanda is an associate member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Additionally, Amanda is a Quickbooks Pro Advisor.

Fletcher Woodward, CPA, Consultant

J Fletcher Woodward retired as of December 31st 2018, but continues to consult for the firm on audit, accounting and tax matters. Fletcher received the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Armstrong State College in August 1976. He began his accounting career in October 1976 with Continental Forest Industries as a plant/divisional accountant.

In November 1978, Fletcher began his public accounting career with the Savannah CPA firm Spillane, Rhoads, Lebey & Sieg (SRLS). While at SRLS, Fletcher performed audit, accounting and tax services to a diverse clientele including manufacturing, wholesale and retail establishments, banking and not-for-profit entities. In 1988 Fletcher began working for not-for-profit entities including grant funded programs. In 2005 Fletcher returned to public accounting by joining with Mike Canady and Sarah Richbourg. Their practice concentrated on audits and accounting for non profit organizations, and tax and accounting services to small business and individuals.

Fletcher is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Nicole Robben, Senior Staff CPA

Nicole received dual bachelor degrees in Accounting and Finance from Georgia Southern University in 2013. Nicole began her career in public accounting in 2015 and became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in 2016.

Nicole is a senior staff accountant and performs all traditional professional services of a CPA firm including not-for-profit audits and reviews, business, fiduciary, not-for-profit, and individual tax preparation, and bookkeeping services.

Nicole is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Tatiana C. Perret

Tatiana received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pensacola Christian College, Pensacola, Florida, in December 2015, and her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Pensacola Christian College in May 2017.

Tatiana began her public accounting career in July 2018, when she joined Caines, Hodges and Company, P.C. Tatiana is involved in the firm’s accounting practice in the areas of auditing, income tax preparation, accounting, and bookkeeping.

Meagan Bartholomew

Meagan received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and her Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia, in May 2018. She began her public accounting career in November 2018, when she joined Caines, Hodges and Company, P.C.

Meagan is involved in the areas of auditing, income tax preparation, accounting and bookkeeping.

Robert Barnes, Jr

Robert received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Coastal Carolina University, Conway, South Carolina in December 2018.

He began his public accounting career in January 2019 when he joined Canady, Hodges, Caines, & Richbourg.

Robert is involved in the firm’s accounting practice in the areas of auditing, income tax preparation, accounting, and bookkeeping.

Donna Hart

Donna works in our accounting and payroll services. She is responsible for the monthly accounts payable and payroll services rendered to our clients.  She is proficient with Quickbooks and Sage 50 software.
